Superior Windmill Warranty Policy

All products are covered by a standard 18 month warranty. We warrant our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, and we will repair or replace any such product we find to be so defective upon its prepaid return to us within 18 months from the original purchase date of the product. Conditions of the warranty are as follows:

    1. All warranties require proof of purchase.

    2. Warranty period begins from the date of purchase.

    3. Superior Windmill Inc. at its sole discretion will either repair or replace the part in question. Parts replaced under the terms of any such warranty may be refurbished or new equipment substituted at the option of Superior Windmill Inc.

    4. You must call Superior Windmill Inc to receive shipping instructions prior to returning windmill parts. Shipping costs for returned merchandise are the responsibility of the customer. When you call you will be required to provide the following information, so please have it ready:

      a. Date of Purchase and the Original Invoice number

      b. Reason for Failure

      c. The serial number on the compressor unit of the windmill

    5. Parts that are returned and show signs of misuse, alteration, or incorrect assembly, will not be considered for warranty. The customer will be contacted and the part will be returned.

    6. If the windmill is damaged as a result of line freeze and a Superior Windmill Freeze Kit has not been installed warranty coverage may be void.

    7. Warranty does not apply to damages resulting from acts of nature (severe weather conditions) as determined by a Governmental Weather Agency weather warning. For example, extreme winds, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc are not covered by warranty.

    8. Warranty does not cover supplemental loss or damages arising from failure of the windmill to function properly. Customer must check system regularly to ensure the unit is functioning according to their requirements. Losses of fish and wildlife as a result of failure are not covered by Superior Windmill Inc. or its dealers.

    9. Warranted items will be returned to the customer freight paid.

    10. All warranty decisions are at the sole discretion of the manufacturer.

    11. For warranty concerns and issues please contact the Dealer you purchased your windmill from or contact Superior Windmill Inc. directly so we may immediately begin to correct the error.

Dugout aeration study answers questions
    

For years there have been ongoing debates as to the most effective methods and devices for proper dugout aeration.

To answer some of these questions, PFRA staff in Peace River collected information that compares both different aeration devices and the differences between aerated and non-aerated dugouts. The three year study involved 18 dugouts located in the Falher, Alberta area, south of Peace River.

The main purpose of dugout aeration is to prevent the problem of black, smelly dugout water caused by decaying plant matter resulting from a lack of dissolved oxygen in the dugout water. PFRA studies have shown that unless a dugout is properly aerated, this problem can occur not only during winter, but also throughout the summer months [...]
